  • It was the 12th World Cup of men’s cricket hosted by the Wales and England from 30 May 2019 to 14 July 2019.
  • This was the 5th world cup played in England and Wales.
  • Total 10 teams played. it was less in number from previous 2 world cups.
  • Four teams qualified for the semifinals that are England, India, New Zealand & Australia.
  • New Zealand beat India and secure place in final. England beat Australia and came into final.
  • Final was played in Lord’s Cricket Ground on 14th July 2019.
  • In an interesting final match tied after super over and, England declared as winner on the bases of total number boundary counts.
  • Most Run Scored By Rohit Sharma (India) 648 Runs (Still Record hold by Sachin Tendulkar who scored 673 runs in 2003 world cup )
  • Largest Wicket Taker: Mitchell Starc (Australia) 27 Wickets.
